The site reached key milestones in 2023, including its grid interconnection agreement, environmental studies, and land use permitting. Ongoing efforts in 2024 include final engineering, design, and commercial negotiations. Once complete, Walker Road Solar will deliver reliable, low-emissions power to Michigan’s energy grid while supporting economic growth in the region through local investment, infrastructure enhancements, and future construction jobs.
