Operating

Lyons Road Solar Farm is a 28 MWdc utility-scale solar project located in Shiawassee County, Michigan. Developed and originated by ESA beginning in 2017, the project involved extensive work in land use planning, permitting, and community engagement before being sold at Financial Notice to Proceed (FNTP). It reached commercial operation in 2021 and now delivers clean, cost-effective energy to Consumers Energy through a long-term power purchase agreement. Over its lifetime, Lyons Road Solar is expected to generate $110 million in energy savings and offset over 12,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually, supporting Michigan’s transition to a lower-carbon energy future.
