Crawford Road Solar

Crawford Road Solar is a 5 MW community solar project developed by ESA and Apex Clean Energy on 41 acres in the Town of Halifax, Virginia. Designed to serve 1,000 low- to moderate-income households, the project will provide up to 10 percent bill savings for subscribers through Dominion Energy’s Shared Solar Program. Located on a partially forested parcel, the design preserves mature trees, wetlands, and streams, and includes new pollinator-friendly landscaping. With a $11.7 million investment, Crawford Road Solar brings clean energy access, community benefit funding, and long-term tax revenue to Halifax while aligning with the town’s comprehensive energy and land use goals.
