Coldwater Solar

Coldwater Solar is a 150 MW utility-scale project under construction in Branch County, Michigan. Spanning Coldwater and Ovid Townships, the project is expected to power up to 27,000 homes annually and support local energy independence. Built on remote private land with existing transmission access, Coldwater Solar will deliver long-term tax revenue—over $30 million—to local schools, infrastructure, and public services. It’s also projected to create hundreds of construction jobs and attract investment to the region. Once complete in 2025, it will supply Michigan-made electricity through a power purchase agreement with a local utility.
