Hickory Road Solar is a 2.5 MW community solar project with co-located battery storage (95.21 MWh) under development in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Situated on 15 acres of a larger agricultural parcel, the project will serve around 500 low- to moderate-income homes through Virginia’s Shared Solar Program. Featuring single-axis trackers, pollinator-friendly landscaping, and a solar grazing plan, Hickory Road Solar is designed for long-term environmental and community benefit. The project also includes energy storage to enhance grid stability, and will deliver local tax revenue, grid upgrades, and energy savings of up to 10% for Dominion Energy customers.
